Toto manufactures the Washlets which are the Japanese toilets that are so well-known in Japan. These toilets come with a heated seat, a bidet and deodorizer, in addition to other things.
Before forming Toto the members of the group did sessions for Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts,[4] Boz Scaggs and Sonny and Cher. Five guitarist Steve Lukather is the band's vocalist.
About Toto
The band Toto was formed in the year 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro and David Paich (who were also highly acclaimed studio musicians who worked with Boz Scaggs at the time) and bassist/singer Bobby Kimball. The group's name was derived from a Latin word that translates to "all-encompassing" and was determined to explore every style of music.
In 1981, Toto's third album Turn Back was a flop, but they rebound with their fourth release Isolation that features two hits, including the title track and Roseanna. The album and tour make Toto a household name across the world.
After a short hiatus, Toto returns with the album Fahrenheit. It's a change from the ballads that were featured on previous albums and also includes some heavy rock. It was their first platinum album in North America.
In the course of recording the band's fifth album, the band loses their manager and are faced with financial difficulties. They decide to record a brand new album and change their name to an entirely different producer. Joseph Williams, the son of John Williams, the legendary film composer and actress Barbara Ruick from 1950s, takes over Fergie Frederiksen as the lead vocalist. Joseph Williams is a natural frontman, and gives the band a much-needed boost.
In 1999, the band released Mindfields and begin an extensive tour across the globe. After several weeks in Europe, the band heads to Japan for sold-out shows. After a brief break, Toto resumes recording and goes on to record their first live album, Absolutely Live in 1993 which includes an original cover of Weezer's song Hash Pipe in response to the band covering their hit Africa on the recent tour. Toto's touring band is rounded out by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.

After Isolation Toto was released, the band went on absence. This gave the members of the group the opportunity to pursue their own projects. In 1996, the group reformed to tour and www.Totopia.Kr record an album. This was the first time all of the original members were on stage together for over 10 years.
The following year, Toto toured together with Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band. This was the last time all of Toto's original members appeared together on stage at the same time. The band broke up after this. Toto came back together for an event benefiting the ALS Foundation in 2010. to raise funds for the ALS Foundation. It was the first time in more than 31 years that all of Toto's founding members performed together. In addition to the original members, keyboardist Greg Tambu filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate filled in for Shem Von Schroeck.

Toto is among the most well-known groups in rock music. They have had huge hits such as "Rosanna," Hold The Line," and "Africa," which has been certified platinum 8X. With a range of influences, ranging from progressive rock to world beats to jazz and soul, the group continues to please their fans with their acoustic arena rock.
Despite their acclaim, the band faced several setbacks in their later years. In 2002 the keyboardist David Paich and drummer Greg Phillinganes took a medical leave of absence. Drummer Shem von Schroeck stepped in, but the band was not the same without Paich and Phillinganes. In 2008, Toto decided to take a break from touring after changes to the lineup and a disappointing series of releases. The group returned to touring in 2012 after the release of their album 40 Trips Around The Sun.
The album marked a return to form for the group and the tour was accompanied it with sold-out shows across North America and Europe. Toto's reunion gained momentum with the return of bassist Shem Von Schroeck and guitarist Steve Lukather.
